The Nizhyn city of the Chernihivska Oblast.
Nezhin is a city in the north of Ukraine, in the heart of the Chernigov region, famous for its many churches and temples, an ancient university and tasty canned cucumbers. The city was founded in 933. Here in the 17th century there was the Black Rada - a large meeting at which the new hetman of Ukraine was elected. Nezhin University for 200 years, studied here Gogol, Grebinka and many other lights. There are 7 faculties at the university. In addition, there is an agrotechnical institute, a medical school and a cultural education college (not including gymnasiums and vocational schools).
